Hey everyone. I hope you're all doing fabulous today! I know these are some weird times for everybody at the moment. To make sure we all stay safe and healthy, everyone should stay home and self-isolate. I know it can get pretty boring and stressful, but we have to pull through.

To stay occupied, here are five things I do that you can copy! ...We're all in this together, guys.

1. Learn to cook. This has always been a struggle for me, and I usually spend my cooking life either eating salads, sandwiches, wraps, and other easy and healthy at-home foods, or buying store-bought supplies like frozen pizzas, etc. In my time stuck inside, however, I've decided to improve and build upon my cooking skills! You can do this too by learning and preparing large, tasty meals to keep you and your family/cats satisfied while stuck at home.

2. Play with cats! This is something you would obviously need cats for. I've been hanging out with Lucy and Pepper as my only company, and we've had lots of fun and made many fond memories over these past few weeks. Of course, if you have a dog, or a hamster, or any other pets, you can spend time with them as well!

3. Catch up on reading. Over the past few weeks I've really gotten time to enjoy my favourite books, and read the ones I've been dying to for so long but never had the time to. I'm reading Moby Dick right now. One of my favourite places to read is on the sofa in my living room, or at my small dining table where there's a rather large window that always lets in a lot of sunlight.

4. Video call friends and family. Since I can't see any of my friends or family at the moment, I've been video calling them on my Skype account as a sort of substitute for hanging out and visiting. I make my coffee every morning and talk to Rosie, and my cats say hello to her dog Max, and then in the evenings I call my Mom and Dad. This has also been a great opportunity for me and my sister, Dani, to catch up on each other's lives as she moved to Sweden a few years ago and we haven't really gotten a chance to talk all that much.

5. This one may seem obvious to you: start a blog! If you already have a blog, that's cool, but you can also use this time and write and document how you feel, and how you're living with the whole COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic situation.

These are just a few of many ways to keep yourself occupied during these times. Any suggestions? Share your ideas in the comments!
